Duties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:

- Conduct damage assessments and prepare precise repair estimates

- Liaise effectively with insurance companies to secure repair authorisation

- Carry out repairs on a variety of vehicle marques, adhering to manufacturer standards

- Complete vehicle repairs independently from start to finish with high quality standards

- Maintain detailed records of estimates, repair progress, and parts utilised

- Collaborate with workshop colleagues and other departments to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround

- Stay updated with latest repair techniques, manufacturer guidelines, and insurer policies

Requirements of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:

- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator in a busy workshop environment

- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or ATA / IMI qualifications preferred but not essential

- Good knowledge of repair methods, including panel repairs, welding, and jig work

- Ability to work independently, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail

- Full UK driving licence

- Strong team player with a commitment to customer service and safety standards
