Location: Derwentside IRC, Consett, County Durham, DH8 6QY

Salary: £26,663.57 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

As a Cleaning Operative in our AASC team, you'll provide high-quality cleaning services across a geographical area, helping to maintain safe, clean, and welcoming accommodation for service users. Your work will directly support the wellbeing of people who rely on our services every day.

What you’ll do as a Cleaning Operative

- Complete allocated cleaning tasks to the required standard within agreed timescales.

- Ensure properties are safe and suitable for service users while carrying out cleaning activities.

- Use cleaning equipment, materials and personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and safely.

- Check relevant property information before attending sites and report any health and safety concerns or defects.

- Remove and dispose of waste responsibly, following approved processes and recycling where possible.

- Support colleagues across different geographical areas when required and assist with inventory delivery, assembly and removal.

Does this sound like you?

- Previous cleaning experience in domestic, residential or large accommodation settings would be beneficial.

- Able to work independently and manage your time effectively while maintaining high standards.

- Comfortable using information technology (IT) systems and updating records accurately.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Willing and able to travel within the region and occasionally across the UK, with a valid driving licence.
