We provide acute and elective inpatient services, diagnostic services, see large numbers of outpatients and deliver life-long care. We have 14 inpatient ward areas located in Lincoln Wing and Bexley Wing at St Jamess Hospital, endoscopy units across three sites and 7 satellite dialysis units across West Yorkshire. What you will bring to the role As the Ward Leader for J50, you will provide visible, supportive leadership while maintaining a strong clinical presence. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care to patients with complex renal conditions, including those undergoing dialysis and transplantation. The role includes overseeing day-to-day operational and staffing needs, ensuring effective workforce planning and team coordination. You will drive service development, quality improvement initiatives, and innovation in line with Trust and Renal strategy/priorities. A key part of the role is fostering a positive and inclusive culture that supports learning, accountability, and staff wellbeing. You will work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team, including renal consultants, dialysis units, transplant coordinators, dietitians, and allied health professionals, to deliver patient-centred care and enhance outcomes across the nephrology and transplantation pathway.
