Summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Ophthalmology service provides a number of services across different settings in North London. We are recruiting into a full time Band 5 position in our ophthalmology department at Whittington hospital. This is part of the Royal free London NHS Trust Ophthalmology service. The post also requires cross site cover as needed

Main duties of the job

Working in a friendly environment you will be responsible for the assessment and planning of care needs for Ophthalmic patients in a out patient setting.

Previous experience in Ophthalmology would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

In addition to the eye clinic at Whittington Hospital site, we also have ophthalmic clinics in other hospitals within the Royal free London foundation trust and you will be expected to work there if needed.

Working in a team you will be responsible for assessing patients and preparing them for doctors assessment in clinics as well as working in nurse led clinics e.g. pre-operative assessment and fundus Fluorescein angiography clinics

This post is only available to Nurses who already have full NMC registration or student nurses awaiting their pin. Not suitable for nurses requiring OSCE.

The hours will be worked across 5 days Monday to Friday depending on activity demand.
