Regional Financial Controller - London Portfolio

Regional Finance Controller, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.

This is a broad regional finance role, where you will be a trusted partner with operational leaders to provide insight, support confident decision-making and help improve commercial performance by providing leading financial excellence across a portfolio of

hotels in London.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As a Regional Finance Controller, you will support the financial performance, governance, and strategic financial planning for the portfolio.

You will work in partnership with the wider finance team, General Managers, Regional Operations Managers and support functions to provide clear financial insight and support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Finance Ownership

  • Act as a trusted finance partner for the portfolio, supporting operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Provide clear financial insight, analysis and constructive challenge to support revenue, profitability and return on investment.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, business cases and growth opportunities.

Financial Performance & Reporting

  • Lead all aspects of financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Deliver timely, accurate and practical management information.
  • Analyse key performance indicators, financial trends and market benchmarks to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Work with operational leaders to understand performance, identify opportunities and agree practical actions.

Commercial Business Partnering

  • Partner with hotel leadership teams to support revenue, productivity and profitability improvements.
  • Share financial performance updates and recommendations with senior stakeholders in a clear and practical way.
  • Translate financial data into meaningful actions that support better business decisions.

Risk & Governance

  • Ensure robust financial controls and governance processes are maintained.
  • Provide assurance over internal controls, compliance and financial integrity.
  • Support audit processes and risk management activities.

Leadership & Development

  • Lead, support and develop a talented regional finance team.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, inclusion and collaboration.
  • Champion operational excellence and process enhancements across the business.

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and motivated by helping teams make confident financial decisions.

You may have gained your experience in hospitality, hotels, leisure, multi-site operations or another relevant commercial environment.

We would be interested in hearing from candidates who can bring some or all of the following:

  • A recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • A minimum of five years experience in a Financial Controller, Cluster Financial Controller, Regional Finance, Finance Business Partnering or similar role
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, leisure or multi-site operations would be highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge and positively influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering financial performance improvements
  • Excellent leadership, communication and people development skills
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to different audiences
  • Confidence in using ERP systems, reporting tools and hotel PMS platforms
