Shifts: Weekday availability is flexible and can be discussed with the successful candidate. Alternating weekend availability is essential.

About the Role
As our Social Events Lead / Activities Lead, you’ll play a key role in creating an engaging and fulfilling lifestyle for our residents.
This role would ideally suit someone creative and artistic but applicants must also have effective organisational, administrative and communication skills, must be IT literate. Excellent spoken and written English is essential, as is an enthusiastic but compassionate and patient manner.
You’ll plan and lead a varied programme of activities, events and outings that reflect residents’ individual interests, abilities and personalities. From arts and crafts and music sessions to games, celebrations and trips out, you’ll help make every day feel special.
You’ll also encourage and inspire colleagues to get involved, creating a culture where social engagement is part of everyday life.

To promote independence and enhance the quality of life for residents by supporting meaningful activities and personal interests. You’ll lead and inspire colleagues to engage socially with residents, helping create a vibrant, inclusive environment through well-organised events and individual engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of participation and engagement levels to evaluate the effectiveness of programmes offered
Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages residents to express themselves and build connections with others.
Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into daily routines while ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants
Build positive relationships with residents and understand the interests, hobbies and experiences that are important to them.
Create individualised activity plans and ensure these are reviewed and maintained.
Assess individual resident needs and preferences to ensure personalised activity plans are created and maintained.
Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive activities programme tailored to the interests and needs of residents in assisted living and nursing home settings.
Coordinate and facilitate daily activities, including arts and crafts, games, music sessions, and outings that encourage participation from all residents.
Organise and coordinate resident outings in our company mini-bus
