This applies

(Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 10 and above (currently

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members

, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

Job purpose/about the role

To undertake either individually or as a member

of a team a variety of duties concerned with

Environmental Operations including both general

work and horticultural work of a specialist nature

in public parks, playing fields, cemeteries,

landscaped areas, public open spaces, public

roads, amenity areas and housing estates.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

VQ level 3, or City and Guilds level in Horticulture, or equivalent qualification

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.

Ability to understand and respond to instructions given.

Ability to deal with customers in a helpful and friendly manner.

Ability to resolve issues and contribute to continuous improvement of service.

Ability to complete job related sheets accurately.

Ability to carry out manual duties in all types of weather.
