Summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 8b Clinical Nurse Manager to join our Specialities services.

 

The postholder will be responsible for providing senior operational, clinical and professional leadership across designated inpatient services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care.

 

Working as part of the senior management team, the postholder will provide visible leadership to Ward/Team Managers, Matrons and clinical teams, with responsibility for service delivery, clinical governance, workforce planning, budget management, risk management and continuous service improvement.

The postholder will be highly visible, spending time within clinical service areas to provide senior leadership, support and assurance to teams. They will be responsible for the operational, clinical and professional leadership of designated inpatient services, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality care. 

 

 The post holder will also have a specific focus upon Quality, Safety and Efficiency and  they will also support the delivery of agreed performance, quality and patient experience outcomes, while promoting a positive, inclusive and learning-focused culture across the service.

The role is pivotal in assisting the Clinical Director, Associate Director, Director of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality and other professional heads with the delivery of appropriate professional standards and clinical service across the Trust.

The role carries specific responsibility across the service for the provision of safe and evidence based practice and is accountable for the delivery of agreed outcomes for clinical teams.
