Home care work is a great deal easier when your calls are all within a couple of miles of each other. That is what we are building in south Charnwood. Safi Homecare is a nurse-led provider taking on new packages along the Soar valley from October 2026, and we are recruiting Home Care Support Workers who live in Syston, Birstall, Thurmaston, Sileby or Mountsorrel and want a tight local round.
Where you would be working
Syston, Birstall, Thurmaston, Sileby, Mountsorrel, Rothley, East Goscote and the surrounding villages. Postcode areas: LE7, LE4, LE12.
This is one of the most compact zones we cover. Syston, Birstall and Thurmaston sit almost on top of one another, and Sileby, Cossington and Mountsorrel are only a few minutes up the road. Short journeys between calls mean you arrive on time, you are not eating into your own day, and the people you visit see the same face week after week instead of whoever happened to be free.
What the job involves
• Personal care delivered with dignity, including washing, dressing and continence support
• Medication support, from prompting through to administering and recording it accurately
• Preparing food and drink and monitoring nutrition and hydration
• Safe moving and handling, including the use of hoists and mobility equipment
• Household tasks, shopping and help with the ordinary business of running a home
• Companionship, and helping people stay part of the community they live in
• Reporting changes in health, mood or circumstances without waiting to be asked
• Accurate, same-visit recording on our electronic care system
