Summary

Support Worker – Coatbridge

Location: Coatbridge/Airdrie and surrounding areas, North Lanarkshire

Salary: £13.45 per hour (£25,947.47 FTE) + £14.12 per hour enhanced night rate

Hours: Up to 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Working patterns: Full-time, part-time, weekend-only, relief and sleepover shifts

Requirements: Driving licence and access to a vehicle essential

Capability Scotland is looking for Support Workers / Community Living Assistants to join our team supporting adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own homes and communities across North Lanarkshire.

Whether you're an experienced Support Worker or you're looking to start your career in care, you don't need previous care experience. We provide full training and will fully fund your SVQ qualification.

Our support visits are typically a minimum of four hours, giving you the time to build meaningful relationships and provide high-quality, person-centred support.

What you'll do

As a Support Worker, you'll help the people we support to live fulfilling and independent lives. Your role may include:

Providing personal care with dignity, respect and compassion

Supporting with medication and mealtimes

Encouraging independence, choice and decision-making

Supporting people to access their local community

Helping with hobbies, interests and social activities

Assisting with household tasks and everyday living

Building positive and trusting relationships

Providing person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs
