Not All Heroes Wear Capes... Some Love Nursery Rhymes and Trampolines!

Personal Assistant Required - G40 Area

Are you energetic, patient and looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to a young person's life?

About Salar:

Salar is a lively and active young person who loves being on the move. His favourite things include jumping, running, bouncing on his trampoline and listening to music and nursery rhymes. He is looking for a caring and reliable Personal Assistant to spend time with him, support him in his daily routine and help him enjoy the activities that make him happiest.

In the beginning, much of your time will be spent getting to know Salar in his home environment, helping him feel comfortable and building a trusting relationship. Whether you're listening to his favourite nursery rhymes, encouraging active play or simply being part of his day, you'll play an important role in helping him feel safe, happy and supported.

As Salar's Personal Assistant, you will support him with aspects of his daily routine, including personal care, eating, dressing and toileting. An important part of the role is always ensuring his safety. Salar has pica and requires close supervision, meaning you'll need to be attentive, proactive and able to respond quickly to situations while maintaining a safe environment around him.

Who We're Looking For

Salar would love to meet someone who is:

• Kind, caring and patient

• Energetic and enjoys being active

• Reliable and responsible

• Calm and attentive

• Confident supporting personal care

• Committed to maintaining good hygiene and a safe environment

Previous experience supporting someone with autism, pica or additional support needs would be welcomed but isn't essential, as training and support can be provided.

Hours and rate of pay:

• Hours: 14 hours per week

• Rate of pay: £13.45, with potential to increase to £14.45 after successful completion of probationary period.

Could This Be You?

If you're looking for a role where every day is different, where a smile, a favourite song or a bounce on a trampoline can make all the difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and become an important part of helping Salar enjoy happy, safe and meaningful days while reaching his full potential.

Apply now by sending your CV to par@gcil.org.uk quoting the reference “SZ/IW/LJ/1.26” in the subject line and body of the email. If you have any questions, please contact GCIL at 0141 550 4455.
