Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join our well-established Children in Care Team. This opportunity has arisen as a result of an internal promotion, reflecting the strength of leadership development and progression within the service.

The team is stable, experienced, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. Based in Ellesmere Port, you will provide leadership, guidance, and operational oversight to social workers supporting children and young people in care from birth to 17 years old. The team works with children subject to Care Orders and those who have achieved permanence through post-care proceedings arrangements, ensuring children and young people receive high-quality support, stability, and planning throughout their journey.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced manager who can provide stability, maintain positive performance, and continue to build on the team's strong foundations. You will join a service committed to relationship-based practice, achieving permanence for children without delay, and ensuring children and young people are supported to reach their full potential.

This is a hybrid role, with the option of working from home and other locality offices. There is an expectation that office-based meetings, team meetings and other collaborative activities will be attended in person wherever applicable. The successful candidate will be expected to model visible leadership, maintain a strong team presence, and support effective relationship building with colleagues and partner agencies.
