We’re searching for two passionate Watersports enthusiasts who would like to become our Watersports Instructor Apprentice. If you love the outdoors and want to make a real impact, then join us.
Your apprenticeship will equip you with the skills, qualifications and experience to become a competent and employable Watersports Instructor.
We deliver our apprenticeships with our partner Coach Core. You will be expected to fully support any Coach Core activity alongside your work at Ahoy.
Job Purpose
To support the Watersports Manager in delivering a well-rounded, inclusive programme of on-water and shore-based activities and courses for a diverse community of users, in line with the charity’s aims and objectives. The Watersports Instructor Apprentice primary responsibility is to support on-water sessions—including sailing, powerboating, rowing, and other boating disciplines—while also assisting with fleet and centre maintenance to ensure the smooth running of scheduled activities.
Key Purpose
• Support the delivery of high-quality instruction and support, both afloat and ashore, to all centre users.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants at all times.
• Follow Ahoy’s Standard Operating Procedures and all relevant regulatory requirements.
