Summary
Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Autism Support
Primary School – Fallowfield
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?
We are currently looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary school in Fallowfield, providing 1:1 support to a child with Autism.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient and confident in supporting children who may display challenging behaviour.
The Role
You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child with Autism, providing consistent support throughout the school day. The pupil can display challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will need to be confident managing behaviour calmly and effectively while building a positive and trusting relationship.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support the child's learning, emotional regulation and engagement in school life.
The Ideal Candidate

Experience working in a UK school is essential

Previous experience supporting children with Autism is highly desirable
•
Experience managing challenging behaviour
•
Patient, calm and empathetic approach
•
Confident setting clear and consistent boundaries
•
Resilient and able to remain composed in challenging situations
•
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•
Passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential
