Summary

Senior Residential Care Worker - Children's Residential Care

Location: Groby, Midlands

Employment Type: Full Time

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £15.75 per hour + excellent overtime rates

About the Role

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people in their day-to-day lives, helping them develop confidence, independence and the skills they need to achieve their potential.

You will also take on additional leadership responsibilities within the home, supporting colleagues and ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

* Support young people to continue with hobbies, social activities and friendships.

* Help young people develop new skills and access new opportunities.

* Support young people to reach their full potential and achieve positive outcomes.

* Conduct staff supervisions and provide guidance and support to colleagues.

* Manage the home effectively in the absence of the Deputy Manager or Registered Manager.

* Effectively lead shifts, directing and supporting colleagues to provide high-quality care.

* Manage health and safety processes within the home.

* Implement and monitor risk assessments.

* Support the induction and onboarding of new colleagues.

* Take responsibility for safeguarding and actively promote the welfare of children and young people.

* Act as a positive role model for both young people and colleagues.
