Summary

To contribute to patient care by ensuring cleaning services are delivered in a professional, helpful and friendly manner by providing a high standard of cleanliness to Wards, Departments, Residences and Offices in the Trust and associated buildings.

• General Day-to-Day Cleaning

• Sweeping, Mopping, Scrubbing / Polishing Floors.

• Vacuum Cleaning of Carpets.

• Damp dusting / Polishing Furniture, Fixtures and Fittings etc.

• Cleaning of Sanitary Areas.

• Replenish Paper Products, Soap etc.

• Disposal of Refuse.

• Bed making in Residence’s and On Call Doctors rooms, where applicable.

• Sort Linen / Maintain Linen Levels where applicable.

• Periodical / Specialist Cleaning

• Shampooing Carpets / Furniture.

• Changing of Cubicle / Window Curtains where applicable

• Special / Intensive Cleaning at Supervisors request.

• Thorough clean of Bed, Locker, Bed table etc. following patient discharge where applicable.

• Special Cleaning of Infectious / Infected Areas. (HPV)

• Window cleaning where applicable

• Ensure all equipment is cleaned and correctly stored
