About the Role
We are looking for a motivated
Electrical Installation Apprentice to develop the practical skills, technical knowledge and qualifications required to become a fully qualified electrician.
You will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced electrical professionals while completing a structured Level 3 apprenticeship. The role will provide exposure to electrical installation, testing, maintenance and commissioning across a range of environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has already completed a Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification and is looking to progress their career within the electrical and construction sectors.
Important: This apprenticeship is only open to residents of the London Borough of Haringey.
Main Duties
As your skills and experience develop, you will learn to:
Carry out electrical installation, testing, verification and maintenance work under appropriate supervision.
Work on low-voltage electrical systems, including AC and DC systems.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
Follow the requirements of
BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and relevant industry standards.
Assist with inspections, maintenance and condition reporting of existing electrical installations.
Install wired and wireless electrical solutions.
Assist with assessing electrical loads and selecting appropriate installation methods.
Install electrical connections for heating and cooling systems.
Assist with the installation of mains-powered life safety systems in residential, commercial and industrial environments.
Follow electrical drawings, specifications and manufacturer instructions.
Comply with health, safety and environmental requirements.
Work safely when using electrical tools, equipment and materials.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
Attend college, training sessions and site-based learning as required.
Maintain a professional approach and continue developing technical skills throughout the apprenticeship.
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Must live in the London Borough of Haringey.
English and Maths at
GCSE Grade 4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
Level 2 Electrical Installation Diploma completed.
