Summary

Senior Occupational Health Advisor

Location: Southampton

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Minimum 4 days per week, site-based

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a friendly and growing team. You will work alongside a team of experienced OHAs, delivering a varied and comprehensive range of Occupational Health services. The role is primarily office/site based, with occasional visits to customer sites when required.

With over 200 clients across a wide range of industries, this is an excellent opportunity for an OHA looking for a varied and interesting role within a supportive team environment. Some clients include organisations across aerospace, education, schools, colleges, universities, marine, local authorities, healthcare, offices and many other sectors.

Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of Occupational Health services, including:

• Management referrals and case management: approximately 4–5 cases per day

• Fitness-for-work assessments

• DSE (Display Screen Equipment) assessments

• Statutory health surveillance

• Workplace medicals

• Vaccinations

• Occupational Health assessments and advice

• Providing professional advice to managers and employees

• Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records

• Working independently while contributing positively to the wider OH team

Essential requirements

• Active NMC registration as a General Adult Nurse

• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health

• Experience working as an Occupational Health Advisor

• Fully competent in Occupational Health case management and health surveillance

• Strong clinical and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good IT skills and confidence using computer-based systems

• Willingness to occasionally visit customer sites

All clinical work is completed using an Occupational Health software system. You should therefore be confident using IT and computer-based clinical systems.
