We are recruiting for a vibrant, highly respected special school for primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs. Contract: Long-Term / Fixed-Term

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

What You Will Be Doing

This is a stable, term-time role where no two days are the same. You will support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally, working side-by-side with experienced teachers who will guide and mentor you along the way.

Build great relationships with children with autism, physical, sensory, or complex needs.

Help bring personalised education plans to life and encourage positive behaviour.

Support pupils with communication tools (such as Makaton and PECS) and assist with mobility or personal care where required.

Help young learners develop independence, make friends, and thrive.

What We Are Looking For

No previous SEN experience? No problem. While a background in a care or educational setting is a bonus, what matters most is your attitude, empathy, and willingness to learn.

A patient, compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help young people succeed.

Minimum Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in GCSE English Language and Maths. An Early Years qualification is a plus, but not essential.

Clear communication skills and a strong commitment to child safeguarding.

Full, permanent right to work in the UK (we operate a strict no-sponsorship policy).

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check or have one on the update service.
