Summary

Ready to Start a Truly Rewarding Career?

Are you looking to make a real difference every single day? Whether you are taking your first steps into the workforce or looking for a meaningful career change, this is the perfect opportunity to build a fulfilling future in education.

We are recruiting for a vibrant, highly respected special school for primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs. The school provides a nurturing, creative, and joyful environment dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential, and we are looking for passionate, caring individuals to join the team.

Contract: Long-Term / Fixed-Term

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

What You Will Be Doing

This is a stable, term-time role where no two days are the same. You will support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally, working side-by-side with experienced teachers who will guide and mentor you along the way.

  • Build great relationships with children with autism, physical, sensory, or complex needs.
  • Help bring personalised education plans to life and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Support pupils with communication tools (such as Makaton and PECS) and assist with mobility or personal care where required.
  • Help young learners develop independence, make friends, and thrive.

What We Are Looking For

No previous SEN experience? No problem. While a background in a care or educational setting is a bonus, what matters most is your attitude, empathy, and willingness to learn.

  • A patient, compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help young people succeed.
  • Minimum Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in GCSE English Language and Maths. An Early Years qualification is a plus, but not essential.
  • Clear communication skills and a strong commitment to child safeguarding.
  • Full, permanent right to work in the UK (we operate a strict no-sponsorship policy).
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check or have one on the update service.

Why You Will Love This Role

  • Excellent on-the-job professional development. You will learn valuable, specialised skills in SEN and child development from day one.
  • Enjoy fixed, school-friendly hours (8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday) with weekends and school holidays off.
  • The peace of mind that comes with a guaranteed, long-term contract.
  • Join a welcoming, collaborative school community that celebrates every victory, big or small.

If you have the drive to make a positive impact and want to launch a career with real purpose, we would love to hear from you.
