Job Title: Silo Hygiene OperativeContract: PermanentType of Employment: Full timeHours: 40 hours per weekRate of Pay: £12.71 per hourShift pattern: Monday - Friday 6am - 2pmLocation: McVitie's, 54 Church Street, Carlisle, Cumbria, England, CA2 5TGRole Responsibilities:
-Complete cleaning tasks in line with Cleaning Work Instructions and site procedures
-Perform deep cleans, strip-down cleans and post-production cleaning activities, if required
-Ensure all equipment and work areas are left hygienic, safe and ready for production
-Follow strict food safety, hygiene and contamination control procedures
-Safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment and PPE in accordance with training and COSHH requirements
-Report defects, hazards, contamination risks and equipment damage
-Complete cleaning records and hygiene documentation accurately
-Support audit readiness and maintain high standards across the site
-Work closely with supervisors, production teams and colleagues to achieve operational targets

-Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
-Flexible and proactive approach to work
