Learning Support Assistant (Primary)Salary: NJC Scale 3, pts 7-10, £30,286-£31,611 fte (£25,446-£26,559 actual annual salary)Start Date: September/October 2026Contract Length: Fixed term, initially under 31 August 2027Working hours/weeks: 36 hrs per week (8am - 4pm), 38.6 weeks per year (Term time + 3 Inset Days)We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed candidate to join our school as Learning Support Assistant, providing in class support to pupils. You will be part of a collaborative and enthusiastic team of support staff, providing exceptional support for learning and teaching at our school in order to provide a world class education for our pupils. You may have experience working with young children, having been an LSA before. However you may be returning to work after a career break, a career change or someone who has never worked in a school setting but who would like to. We put a lot of store in your rapport with young people as well as your experience. The role will include:Providing pupils with support specified by the teacher and SENDCo, and encouraging independence and responsibility for learning and behaviour.Helping pupils to build self-esteem through positive interactions, praise and encouragement.Assisting with the development and implementation of SEN support plans and personal care programmes. Promoting inclusion throughout the school and establishing positive relationships with pupils. Providing one-to-one support to pupils as required.
