Summary

The Role

As an Employment Specialist, you will deliver tailored vocational profiling, career planning, job matching and in-work coaching to ensure participants not only gain employment but are supported to thrive within it via the Connect to Work programme, using the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. You will be based from our office in either Barrow-in-Furness, Carlisle or Workington.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide structured 1:1 employment support, based on individual wants and needs, to adults facing significant barriers or health conditions to support them to move into sustainable employment.

• Provide continued support to participants and employers once in work, including identifying job retention strategies.

• Managing a caseload of participants

• Develop strong partnerships with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities, as well as working closely with health services, education providers, and community organisations to provide joined-up, holistic support.

• Achieve performance targets, maintaining accurate records and achieve required customer and quality standards alongside contributing to monitoring and evaluation to demonstrate outcomes and impact.
