I am an ex-Rugby Professional, now living with a high-level spinal cord injury. I am looking for a competent and positive individual to work with me to maintain a good quality of life to be able to live as independently as possible.

The role will include assisting me with activities such as driving my van, light house-keeping & admin tasks (emails, organising the diary, making appointments) as well as helping me to attend events such as the rugby or cricket, see mates or pop to the pub for a Sunday lunch.

The other part of the role will include care tasks such as eating, drinking, cooking, manual handling and helping my team of carers with some personal care tasks as needed - all training will be provided.

You will be working as part of a small team in my own home in Horsted Keynes and may also accompany me to my home in the South of France on holiday.

Requirements

- Happy to work as part of a team but also independently

- Willing to learn manual handling skills

- Willing to learn how to use healthcare equipment

- Flexible with a 'can do' attitude

- Competent/willing to help carers with some personal care tasks

- Ideally you would have some prior care experience

- You have the right to work in the UK

- You are willing and able to work abroad to accompany me on holiday

*I do not offer Sponsorship*

The role is permanent for up to 22 hours per week. I am flexible with this and happy to split the role between 2 people. It will include work at the weekends as well as weekdays.

Working hours are usually between 10am to 8pm.

If you think that you’ve got what it takes, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you!
