Houston & Hawkes | Central London | £39,000 per annum | Monday to Friday

Houston & Hawkes is looking for an outstanding Hospitality Assistant Manager to join a prestigious Central London operation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who is equally confident leading from the floor, supporting a busy team and managing the important commercial and administrative detail behind a successful operation.
You'll support the Hospitality Manager with the day-to-day delivery of meetings, events, fine dining and executive hospitality, ensuring every service feels polished, professional and effortless. From coordinating the team and engaging with clients to managing invoices, figures and operational paperwork, you'll be an important part of keeping the entire hospitality operation running seamlessly.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, commercially aware and naturally warm with people – someone who notices the smallest details, stays calm under pressure and takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
THE ROLE
Support the Hospitality Manager with the day-to-day running of a premium hospitality operation
Lead from the floor and ensure consistently exceptional service across meetings, events, fine dining and executive hospitality
Coordinate and supervise the hospitality team, ensuring everyone is briefed, organised and ready for service
Support the planning and delivery of client events, receptions, private dining and evening functions
Manage invoices, purchase orders, figures and operational administration accurately
Support financial reporting, cost control and other commercial requirements
Assist with rotas, labour planning and team scheduling
Build strong relationships with clients, guests and internal stakeholders
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure food and service are perfectly coordinated
Maintain impeccable standards across meeting rooms, dining spaces and hospitality areas
Support training, coaching and development of the front-of-house team
Remain flexible to support occasional evening events when required
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Previous supervisory or management experience within premium hospitality, contract catering, fine dining, five-star hotels or a high-end corporate environment
A polished, confident and engaging approach with excellent customer service skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Commercial awareness and confidence working with figures, invoices and operational reporting
Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Experience supporting or delivering events and premium hospitality
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent attention to detail and a genuine understanding of high-end service
The ability to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused during busy services
Flexibility to support occasional evening events when the business requires
