Summary

Full job description attached. The successful candidate will join a highly specialised endocrine surgical service and provide expert clinical care for patients with thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disorders. The role includes outpatient clinics across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust sites, elective operating lists at Hammersmith Hospital, inpatient care and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings to support the management of complex cases. The post holder will contribute to the strategic development and future leadership of the department, supporting service innovation, the introduction of new technologies and the continuous improvement of patient outcomes. They will work closely with colleagues across Endocrinology, Renal and Transplant Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery to deliver integrated, patient-centred care. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the consultant will contribute to research, teaching and training activities, including the supervision of medical students and postgraduate trainees. They will participate in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and service development initiatives, ensuring compliance with national standards and best practice. The post holder will also support service performance, workforce management, waiting-list optimisation and the delivery of high-quality, efficient and sustainable endocrine surgical services.
