Summary

Early Years Assistant – Nursery

Location: Essex

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible opportunities available

Are you passionate about working with children and looking to build your experience within the Early Years sector?

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic, caring and reliable Early Years Assistants to work within welcoming nursery and early years settings across Essex.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a positive difference to their development, learning and wellbeing.

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to support the day-to-day running of the nursery and help create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Support children with their learning, development and daily routines

    • Assist with engaging activities and play opportunities

    • Help create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment

    • Support children's personal care needs where required

    • Encourage children's confidence, independence and social development

    • Build positive relationships with children and staff

    • Support qualified practitioners with activities and observations

    • Follow nursery policies and procedures

    • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing

    • Work effectively as part of a team

    • Help ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe and organised

    The Ideal Candidate:

      • Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential

      • A genuine passion for working with young children

      • Caring, patient and approachable

      • Reliable, punctual and hardworking

      • Enthusiastic and willing to learn

      • Good communication and teamwork skills

      • Able to follow safeguarding procedures and nursery policies

      • A qualification in Early Years / Childcare is desirable but not essential
