Summary

Diagnose, repair undertake fault finding and be conversant with specialist items of ironmongery and hardware, including locks digital locks and mortice locks, closers, door and floor springs, and window gear Undertake Building Planned Preventative Maintenance to include statutory fire door and window checks, and other patient related items bed side lockers etc. Understand fully the inter-relationship between all trades, both building and engineering. To undertake training as necessary to ensure that the knowledge and skills base is maintained and developed to meet the requirements of current and future engineering services and changes in legislation. Carry out work in accordance with current legislation, codes of practice and best practice guidance Financial management assist in the management of the estates revenue and capital budgets in line with delegated authorisation limits and in accordance with the Trust policies and procedures. To be able to work overtime at short notice if available to do so, depending on the needs of the Trust.
