Summary

You will contribute to the provision of a high quality, phlebotomy service for patients on the Isle of Wight by obtaining blood samples from patients through venepuncture and ensuring that blood samples are labelled correctly in preparation for being forwarded to laboratories. The collection of blood by venepuncture will take place in designated areas i.e. the Phlebotomy Outpatients Departments at St. Marys and the wards at St. Marys Hospital. However, phlebotomists may also be asked to attend other Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Trust properties in the performance of their duties.
