The Thoracic department at St James’ University Hospital is one of the largest in the UK with a catchment population of 2.5 million and currently services 6 MDT’s across the region. The department has expanded greatly over the years and continues to do so. We currently have 8 consultants, 7 Registrars, and 5 ANPs. Theatres and clinics run daily. There is a 32 bedded thoracic ward including a dedicated 4 bedded HDU. What you will bring to the role The post holder will be required to undertake 10 sessions to support the needs of the service and provide flexibility to cover during times of leave. During the week, the trust doctor will lead ward rounds, attend theatre lists and clinics at least weekly.
