Summary

The Freedom of Information (FOI) Manager role will support the Information Governance Team to ensure that there is an effective FOI function in place, which meets the MSEFT statutory requirements and complies with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The main aspects of the role will be:

· To implement and manage Freedom of Information activities and ensure effective communication of FOI Practices.

· To ensure that all Freedom of Information requests are handled appropriately and that correct and accurate information is released, within the allocated timeframes.

· To assist and support with effective operation of the Freedom of Information function across the Trust and to ensure that statutory obligations are met.

· To actively participate in service development and improvement.

· To be responsible for the compliance of relevant elements of the Information Governance Toolkit, surrounding legal requests for information.
