Summary
Position: Retail Security Officer
Location: Ramsgate
Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
Hours: Various
Shifts: Various
SG / DS SIA licence required.
Previous Store Detective experience / 3 years Retail Security Experience plus strong understanding of retail loss prevention required.
Your Time at Work
- To provide a covert security, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff. Having the ability to be 'invisible' and blend in is crucial.
- You must have a clear understanding of ASCONE to unsure any and all stop are legal and safe.
- You must have a high attention to detail to spot "tells" and suspicious behavior that others might miss.
- Multi-Site Travel: This is a mobile role. Candidates must be willing and able to travel between various Tesco sites within the local area.
- Apprehension & Conflict Management: Ability to safely detain shoplifters and de-escalate volatile situations.
- To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
- To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
- To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
- To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
- To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
- To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
- To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
- To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
- To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
