Role Outline:
We are seeking a GMC-registered Consultant Occupational Health Physician to join our Health Surveillance Escalation Team. This is a pivotal role providing specialist clinical input on complex, escalated health surveillance and fitness for work cases referred from a diverse client base spanning multiple industries and sectors.
You will act as a trusted clinical authority, delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments and recommendations, while supporting the wider business in maintaining excellent standards of health surveillance provision for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments for escalated health surveillance and fitness for work cases generated from a wide range of clients across multiple industries
- Deliver evidence-based reports and recommendations regarding an employee's fitness for work, required adjustments, and any potential work-related issues
- Offer guidance to employees on health conditions which have arisen as a result of potential workplace exposures
- Respond to client queries related to health surveillance programmes
- Support the bid and onboarding teams, along with client relationship managers, on health surveillance contracts
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, clinical guidelines, industry standards, and best practice in occupational health, particularly in relation to health surveillance and fitness for work
What we are looking for:
- GMC registered Occupational Health Physician
- A qualified Occupational Health Physician with experience in Health Surveillance (HS) / Fitness for Work (FFW), holding MFOM, or FFOM, we would also consider applications from those holding AFOM
- Previous experience in HS/FFW assessments, including managing risk within safety-critical settings
- Proven ability to produce high-quality HS/FFW reports with clear, well-justified rationale for recommended adjustments or restrictions
- Familiarity and experience working with a range of clients across different industries
Experience in one or more specialist areas would be advantageous, including HAVS, IRR, or lead and asbestos surveillance, as well as sector-specific expertise such as OGUK, rail, ENG-1, or MRO.

Please note that this vacancy is for remote working from home in the UK only.
Working from abroad is not allowed and will not be considered for this role. Applicants must ensure they are able to legally work and reside in the UK and must be available to work during UK working hours.

We are able to offer full or part time hours (minimum 3 days a week)
