About Transforming Support

At Transforming Support, our vision is to help people live quality lives, achieve their goals and exercise genuine choice and control.

We provide person centred services that recognise individual strengths and create the right environment for exceptional outcomes to flourish. We aim to be outstanding for the people we support, our communities, our colleagues and the organisations we work alongside.

The role

This is an opportunity to move your leadership career forward while helping shape the quality and direction of a large supported living service.

As Deputy Service Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to lead the staff team, oversee day to day operations and maintain safe, effective and person centred support.

The service supports adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and other complex needs. You will help ensure that every person receives support built around their individual strengths, choices and aspirations.

You will be a visible and approachable leader, giving colleagues the guidance they need, building effective relationships with professional teams and helping the service continue to develop.

It is a role with genuine responsibility and influence. You will contribute to decisions about quality, staffing, assessments, new placements, service improvement and the effective use of resources.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing the operational management of the staff team

• Supporting, guiding and motivating colleagues to deliver consistently high standards

• Working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to coordinate effective support

• Promoting person centred, recovery focused and non-medical approaches to wellbeing

• Supporting assessments and helping people move safely into the service

• Maintaining high standards of quality and governance through audits and Service Improvement Plans

• Working with the Registered Manager to monitor budgets and use resources effectively

What you’ll need

You will need:

• Experience of managing or supervising a team

• Experience supporting adults with autism or learning disabilities

• The confidence to provide clear operational leadership within a busy supported living service

• Experience developing services that respond to the needs of local communities

• Experience building productive partnerships with other organisations

• Strong communication, organisation and decision making skills

• A clear commitment to person centred support, dignity and independence

You must already have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

What you’ll get

• £32,000 per annum

• Bonus scheme driven by performance

• 28 days’ annual leave including bank holidays

• Pension scheme

• Discounts on food and drink, health, beauty and more

• Employee Assistance Programme

• Ongoing training and progression opportunities

• The opportunity to develop your leadership experience alongside a Registered Manager

• A role where you can directly influence service quality, team performance and individual outcomes

How to apply

If you have experience leading a team within adult social care and are ready to take greater responsibility for service quality, colleagues and the lives of the people you support, we would like to hear from you.

Please apply with an up to date CV. Suitable applicants will be contacted about the next stage of the recruitment process.
