As Library Coordinator, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the library and learning spaces, ensuring that learners and curriculum teams have access to high-quality, relevant, and accessible learning resources. Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support services, and external partners, you will help create a welcoming and customer-focused environment that supports teaching, learning, and student success.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced library or learning resource professional who is passionate about enhancing the learner experience and developing services that meet the evolving needs of students and staff.

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operation of library and learning resource services, ensuring service standards and key performance indicators are achieved.
  • Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain effective systems, procedures, and local policies to support efficient service delivery.
  • Support the planning, procurement, and management of learning resources, ensuring resources align with curriculum requirements and budgets.
  • Work closely with curriculum teams to identify resource needs and support teaching and learning across the college.
  • Contribute to course validation, review processes, and quality improvement activities.
  • Analyse service data and learner feedback to inform service enhancement and decision making.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a relevant academic or vocational qualification at Level 5 or above.
  • Has experience working within a library, learning resource centre, or academic resource environment.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of current learning resource and library service best practice.
  • Has experience coordinating operational activities, resources, and workflows to achieve service objectives.
  • Is confident using library management systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Can analyse performance data and use evidence to drive service improvements.
  • Has excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills.
  • Builds positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Is committed to equality, diversity, safeguarding, and creating an inclusive learning environment.

If you are passionate about supporting learners, developing innovative library services, and making a positive contribution to the student experience, we would love to hear from you. Join our team and help shape a vibrant and engaging learning environment for our students.
