Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Officer to join a public sector organisation on an ongoing temporary contract.

The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of a range of public buildings, including schools, leisure facilities and family centres.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee reactive and planned maintenance works across public buildings

Coordinate and manage subcontractors and contractors

Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard

Monitor health & safety and statutory compliance

Maintain accurate records, paperwork and maintenance documentation

Liaise with contractors, building users and internal teams

Respond to and coordinate reactive maintenance issues

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience within building maintenance, property services or facilities management, with a good understanding of contractor management, compliance and health & safety.

A mechanical and/or electrical background would be advantageous, although candidates with strong general maintenance experience will also be considered.
