We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager covering our supported living services in Oswestry,
Shrewsbury, and St Martins.
Reporting into the Area Manager, the successful candidate will lead three established supported living services, supporting
individuals with learning disabilities and autism to live as independently as possible and achieve their full potential. The
services support seven individuals across shared and single-occupancy settings and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each
service is supported by a dedicated Team Leader responsible for both operational administration and direct support delivery.
The Service Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality,
person-centred support. They will promote independence and enable individuals to access community activities, education, leisure
opportunities, and employment where appropriate.
We are seeking an experienced manager with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. The successful candidate
will be able to build positive relationships with colleagues, families, professionals, and external stakeholders, while
effectively managing operational responsibilities and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Applicants should have experience managing teams within the health and social care sector, strong IT skills, and a sound
understanding of person-centred approaches and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and
Management is desirable; however, candidates who are willing to work towards this qualification will be considered, provided they
can demonstrate relevant management experience and sector knowledge, ideally supporting people with learning disabilities and/or
autism.
About You
* Management qualification at Level 3 or Level 4, with a commitment to working towards a Level 5 qualification.
* Knowledge and experience within the Health and Social Care sector.
* Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
* Previous supervisory experience, with a proven track record in a management role.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively support and develop teams.
* Driver and own vehicle
