Finance Business Partner - Manchester, UK

Hybrid Working- 2 days in the office

Salary: £46,000 (Negotiable)

Job Responsibilities

Partner with key stakeholders to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support effective decision-making.

Own and drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Analyse variances against budget and forecast, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.

Support the development of business cases and evaluate financial implications of strategic initiatives.

Produce clear, decision-ready reporting for senior leaders, translating financial data into practical insights.

Monitor performance metrics and trends, highlighting risks and opportunities to improve outcomes.

Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies, procedures, and internal governance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent demonstrable experience in a finance business partnering role.

Strong commercial finance acumen with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.

Advanced Excel skills, including complex modelling, data analysis, and the ability to build robust reporting packs.

Experience with budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and performance management.

Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.

Proven ability to communicate clearly and present financial information in an accessible, business-focused way.

Experience using ERP and finance systems (for example, SAP, Oracle, or similar) to support reporting and planning.

Knowledge of financial controls and governance, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to policy.
