Nursery Assistant, Weston-super-Mare, Up to £15 per Hour

Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Nursery Assistants to support nurseries across Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy flexible work, competitive pay and gain valuable Early Years experience across a variety of nursery and childcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the nursery team with the day-to-day care, learning and development of children.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children with daily routines, activities and play

Creating a safe, positive and nurturing environment

Building strong and positive relationships with children, staff and parents

Supporting learning and development through age-appropriate activities

Assisting nursery staff with the smooth running of the setting

Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment

Adapting to different nursery settings and working environments

Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies

Working flexibly and demonstrating a positive, reliable and professional approach

Required Skills & Experience

No previous experience is required for this Nursery Assistant role. We welcome applications from beginners, career changers and individuals looking to start a career in childcare and Early Years education.

We are looking for candidates who have:

A genuine passion for working with children

A caring, patient and empathetic approach

A proactive and positive “can-do” attitude

Good communication and teamwork skills

The ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues

A willingness to learn and develop within the childcare sector

The ability to work flexibly across different nursery settings

A willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check if not already held
