Hours per week:

3 to 4 hrs on a Saturday and up to 6 hours during the week (any days) during school holidays

Hourly pay rate:

£12.71 per hour

I am looking for a special person to support my 11 year old daughter who loves music and dancing. The role is to support her to develop her independence and social skills through activities. This would be by taking her to the park or doing fun activities at home. At times it would be to support us so we can go out as a family with her younger brother.

There is some personal care involved. My daughter uses Makaton to communicate so some basic experience of this would be useful. Most of the support is needed in the school holidays but please apply if you can only do some of the hours.

Duties include:

- Eating and drinking assistance

- Other relevant duties as required

- Dressing / undressing

- Bathroom assistance

- Support to mobilise – able to walk with support

- Support to promote fun activities

- Support to develop social skills

- Support to develop independence skills

- Managing safety within the community

Candidate qualities:

- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
