Summary

Responsibilities include: A mix of triage, virtual and face to face consultations Assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of benign gynaecological conditions within the Community Gynaecology Service. Independent management of patients within agreed competency levels. Performing community-based gynaecological procedures appropriate to training and competence such as o Removal of lost IUS o Difficult insertion of IUS o Cervical polypectomy o Assess and manage incontinence and prolapse symptoms including vaginal pessary o Cervical cautery Participation in MDT and other clinical meetings where appropriate. Contributing to clinical governance, audit, teaching and service improvement initiatives and ensure service is complaint with CQC legislation. Supporting delivery of Berkshire West Women's Health pathways and promoting consistent evidence-based care across Primary Care. Continuous Learning: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base in womens health, actively engaging in the training and professional development Clinical Development Opportunities Vulval disease assessment. Developing procedural skills through supervised practice and competency assessment such as pipelle and vulval biospy. Training and professional development opportunities provided by the clinic.
