Summary
The Buckinghamshire CAMHS FIRS/SIRS team is renowned for being creative, innovative, forward-thinking, dynamic, and research led. We foster a strong ethos of collaboration, shared reflection, and team working, offering various opportunities for professional development and learning. Our commitment to staff well-being is evident through our active Wellbeing Team, regular staff support sessions, reflective practice groups, and social events. Our psychological approaches are integrative, encompassing Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), third-wave therapies such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and systemic practices. We emphasise understanding the context of each young person, allowing us to tailor interventions that meet the diverse needs of our population. We are dedicated to continuous service development, including establishing more trauma-informed care and responsive intervention packages to ensure timely support following referrals. Opportunities for involvement in service evaluation and research projects are available for those interested. Training and development are priorities within our Trust. We support clinicians pursuing further qualifications, such as BABCP accreditation, and offer supervision and training opportunities in various therapeutic modalities, including DNV-A, CBT Trauma-Focused Therapy, supervision skills, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Our culture of skill-sharing and professional growth ensures that all development opportunities are considered through the Personal Development Review (PDR)/Appraisal framework. If you are an enthusiastic, personable, and resourceful individual committed to delivering high-quality mental health care to young people and eager to develop your skills within a supportive and dynamic team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity within the Pathway. We spoke with the team and here's what they said: "I am incredibly proud to work for our Trust and to work with so many people who are so committed to helping to support young people and their families. CAMHS feels like one big family, and it is a great place to be where everyone works collaboratively and helps supports each other in the quest to trying to provide the best care to our patients." "I cannot speak highly enough of the team I work with. FIRS/SIRS is full of compassionate , kind, hardworking people who are an absolute pleasure to work with. Best team I have ever worked in by far." We are aware that some candidates may choose to use AI tools to support their application.
