Why you should join our Team Echocardiography (2 Posts) Our Echocardiography Department provides specialist imaging for patients with complex cardiac conditions; supporting diagnosis, management and ongoing surveillance through routine and advanced echocardiography techniques and physiology-led services. Our sonographers are encouraged to develop specialist expertise in 3D/4D, Contrast/Bubble and myocardial deformation Strain imaging and to use them routinely. The successful candidate will independently perform and report adult TTE, assist with imaging in TOE, provide TTE during transcatheter interventional procedures in a Cath lab environment and will help with teaching, training and development of students within the clinical environment. They will be supported to develop expertise in advanced imaging techniques through structured training and supervised specialist practice. Cardiac Rhythm Management – Device Service (1 Post) Our CRM/Device Service is well established and continually evolving, providing specialist care for patients with implanted cardiac rhythm management devices including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) systems. The successful candidate will undertake independent device follow-up clinics, device interrogation and programming, remote monitoring and inpatient device assessments, working collaboratively with electrophysiology and heart failure teams. The post offers an excellent opportunity to work within a busy tertiary CRM service with exposure to complex device therapies with the support of a highly specialised workforce. Successful candidates for both roles will be enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking individuals who are committed to delivering excellent cardiac care. They will be able to demonstrate strong clinical skills, a passion for continuous development and the ability to work confidently both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The Trust has 5 main sites and candidates should be willing to work where required on a rotational basis. What you will bring to the role Criteria: Qualifications: BSc in Cardiac Physiology, STP, PTP or equivalent Professional Registration: HCPC or AHCS registered or can demonstrate the ability to gain this within 6 months.
