Summary

Key Job duties and Responsibilities Clinical Care Undertake face-to-face, telephone, video and online consultations with patients. Assess, diagnose, manage and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in line with current clinical guidelines. Prescribe medications appropriately and review patient medication regimes regularly. Refer patients to secondary and community care services as clinically appropriate. Perform routine health checks, screening and disease prevention activities. Organise and interpret investigation results and follow up as required. Administration & Documentation Maintain accurate, timely and confidential patient records in accordance with NHS and Practice guidelines and policy. Action clinical correspondence and administrative tasks (e.g. referrals, results, prescription requests). Team Contribution Work collaboratively with nursing, paramedics, allied health and administrative staff, Data, Prescriptions and Operations Teams. Participate in regular clinical meetings, practice development and quality improvement activities. Contribute to achieving practice targets (such as QOF) where agreed. Buddy with other GPs to support and provide cover during annual leave and planned absences. Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role of a Salaried GP.
