Summary

Lead the delivery and ongoing development of the Southwest Prisons Service Delivery and Improvement Plan. Provide strategic leadership for complex service improvement programmes across the Southwest prison portfolio. Work with senior leaders, clinical teams, Heads of Healthcare, Regional Managers and external partners to deliver agreed improvement priorities. Use quality improvement methodology, data and evidence to identify priorities, monitor progress and support sustainable change. Provide expert advice and support to teams undertaking service delivery and improvement projects. Develop, monitor and report on key milestones, risks, outcomes and benefits linked to the improvement programme. Prepare and present reports, briefings and updates for regional, senior leadership and executive forums. Support the development of improvement capability across teams through coaching, facilitation, workshops and shared learning. Work with Quality, Performance and Finance colleagues to ensure improvement activity is aligned to Trust priorities, performance requirements and available resources. Analyse complex information and performance data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement. Engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders across Oxleas, NHSE, HMPPS and partner organisations. Ensure effective communication of progress, learning and outcomes through appropriate reports, briefings and meetings. Support teams to involve patients and service users in improvement activity where appropriate. Identify opportunities for shared learning, best practice and standardised approaches across the Southwest prisons. Escalate risks, issues and barriers to delivery as appropriate and support actions to resolve them. Contribute as a key member of the Southwest Prisons Senior Leadership Team. Support the development of systems, tools and processes for tracking, monitoring and evaluating improvement work. Promote the Trusts values and support a culture of collaboration, learning, quality and continuous improvement.
