Support a high-quality catering operation
Sodexo is looking for a reliable and proactive
Kitchen Porter to join our catering team at the Microsoft Campus in Leopardstown.
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play an important role in keeping our kitchen and catering operation running efficiently. From maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to supporting deliveries, stock rotation and the wider catering team, your contribution will help us deliver a consistently high-quality service to our customers.
What you’ll do:
Maintain high standards of
cleanliness and hygiene across the wash-up area, kitchen, storage rooms, delivery areas and staff facilities
Keep work areas, surfaces and equipment clean, organised and ready for service
Carry out routine and
deep cleaning of floors, walls, fixtures, equipment, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware
Support the wash-up operation, ensuring kitchen equipment and service items are cleaned efficiently
Assist with receiving deliveries and ensure food and beverages are handled and stored in accordance with hygiene requirements
Support
stock rotation and stock-taking when required
Assist with setting up and servicing tea and coffee stations
Support the wider catering team during busy periods, events and peak service times
Provide a friendly, professional and helpful service to customers when required
Report any accidents, near misses, damage, unfit food or other issues promptly
Follow all
health & safety, food safety, hygiene, fire and chemical safety procedures
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation at all times
Work flexibly across the catering operation and provide support during colleague absence where required
What you’ll bring:
Previous experience in a
kitchen, catering or hospitality environment is desirable, but full training will be provided
A strong understanding of
cleanliness, hygiene and safe working practices
Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
Ability to work effectively in a
busy catering environment
A reliable, flexible and proactive approach
Good communication skills and a professional manner
Ability to work well as part of a team and support colleagues across different areas
Willingness to learn and complete relevant training
A positive, hands-on attitude with a focus on delivering excellent service
