Summary

We are seeking a Band 3 Orthopaedic Kit Co-ordinator to join our team at Heatherwood Hospital, Ascot.

Heatherwood Hospital is a GIRFT-accredited elective hub, offering high-quality care in a modern environment and delivering an excellent patient experience. As part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining a team committed to providing outstanding patient care.

Working within our busy elective and green trauma theatre service, you will be responsible for coordinating orthopaedic surgical kits, managing stock and supporting procurement processes to ensure equipment and consumables are available when needed.

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and proactive individual with excellent attention to detail. Experience in stores, stock management or procurement is desirable, and knowledge of orthopaedic, plastics or general surgery would be an advantage. Full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust run a successful, category management led Procurement Department.  With challenging departmental targets across a £500 million + turnover, the holder of this post will be responsible for providing the support required to provide a Materials Management service on site to the Theatres Department.

Accountable to the Orthopaedic Team Lead, the post holder will be working within theatre team, having the primary responsibility for coordinating the Orthopaedics, Plastics and General Loan Kit requirements as well as  consumables, provide the timely replenishment of daily stock supplies, ordering and locating products within all Theatres and areas of the Hospital site.
