Summary

This role is open to all applicants. The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust has undertaken the significant and exciting implementation of a new inventory management system designed to improve stock control practices, enhance inventory visibility, reduce operational costs, and strengthen patient safety through the Scan4Safety initiative.

 

This role involves supporting the effective management and distribution of stock across wards and theatres, requiring a high level of physical fitness due to regular manual handling activities, including lifting and moving stock, pulling cages, prolonged periods of standing, and replenishing inventory within clinical areas.

We are looking for a pro-active, organised, self-motivated and ambitious Receipt and Distribution Assistant to join our Inventory Management Team.

The successful candidate will be a key player in delivering  the receipt, distribution and put away of medical consumables in all theatre/ward areas of the hospital. 

The candidate will have experience in warehouse and stock control, great communication skills and be able to work as part of a team or independently.

This is a permanent, full time 37.5 hours for 1 post.
