Summary

Working within the factory, operatives are given the opportunity to perform a variety of duties:

Evisceration:

Modules with live birds will arrive in the lairage, the birds are humanely slaughtered and then passed through to the packing area.

Jobs include hanging dead birds, working in evisceration where the birds are prepared for trussing. Cleaning and tray washing may also be required together with any other duties as requested by the Line Supervisor.

PACKING:

Packing whole birds or portions, cutting and trimming chicken or turkey, weighing and moving racks.
