Summary

Could you help keep our hospice services running safely, reliably and with care?

As a Bank Driver with CHAS, you will play an important role in supporting our staff, services and children and families by ensuring people, equipment and supplies get where they need to be, safely and on time.

About the Role

Rachel House, CHAS’ hospice in Kinross is embarking on an exciting two-year rebuild programme, and during this time our hospice services will continue to run from a temporary site in Kinglassie, Fife called Mina House.

As a Bank Driver, your primary responsibility will be transporting staff using our CHAS-provided car between Rachel House in Kinross (KY13 8FX) and our interim service in Kinglassie, Fife (KY5 0XT).

These sites are approximately 20 minutes apart.

You may also be asked to support with:

* Vehicle checks and basic housekeeping of vehicles

* Transportation of supplies and equipment

* Collection and delivery of medication and essential items

* Other transport-related duties that support hospice operations

What is a Bank Driver?

A Bank Driver works on a flexible, as-needed basis, helping CHAS meet transport requirements when additional support is needed.

Shifts are offered as they become available, and you can choose whether to accept or decline them depending on your availability. There is no guarantee of hours, but this arrangement offers flexibility and the opportunity to work around existing family, personal or other commitments.

Typical shift times will be:

6:30am to 10:00am

4:00pm to 6:00pm

A CHAS car will be used for these journeys.

About CHAS

CHAS is a Scottish charity providing hospice services and support for children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families. Through our hospices, care at home, hospital support and family services, we help families access compassionate care when they need it most.

If you're a dependable driver who enjoys helping people and wants to contribute to an organisation making a real difference to families across Scotland, we'd love to hear from you.
