Summary

Role

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic personal assistant to support a lovely 9-year-old girl in the Dunfermline area of Fife, to live her best life. She is non-verbal, has autism and a learning disability.

Our client is a happy, bubbly young girl who loves being outdoors. Swimming is one of her favourite activities, and she’s a bit of a train enthusiast—she enjoys watching the local trains go by! She used to take part in parasports and would love to get involved again.

We’re looking for someone active and positive who can help her get out and about, socialise in her community, and enjoy fun activities like trips to the park, time at the trampoline park and occasional visits to McDonald’s. She responds well to sensory activities, so understanding how important these are for her is key. Building a positive, trusting relationship will make all the difference.

A driving licence is essential as you’ll be supporting her to travel. There will be some light personal care and the need to administer allergy and inhaler medication.

We’d love to hear from someone who is caring, patient, reliable, and has a good sense of humour! Experience with young people with autism and learning disabilities would be a bonus.

An enhanced PVG check will be required.
